I love Red Velvet Cupcakes!

I don't know exactly who created the red velvet, but that person is a genius!!

Funny thing though... I only heard of the red velvet cupcake when i first started watching 'DC Cupcakes'... (Great show, btw...) when they said it was the most popular flavour for Valentine's Day...

Ever since then, i googled the recipe, and decided to try them myself...

Until today, it is my most favourite cupcake flavour of all times! ^_^

Where i come from, not many people have heard of the red velvet cupcake/cake...

But it's slowly coming around.. ^_^

Red velvet cupcake seems nothing without cream cheese frosting... Mmmm ;p

Homemade Red velvet cupcakes

To my mum, the cupcakes are great on their own... But they still look prettier, and let's face it, tastier with frosting on them...

I did a batch using the same heart-shaped sugar deco but instead of red sprinkles i used crushed oreos...

Sorry, i could have done better with the deco.. ^_^ hehe...

Just love these cupcakes! Best part about making cupcakes (and i'm not just talking about red velvet ones) they make GREAT gifts..
